Living on the Murrumbidgee River has an uncanny calming effect for me. We have previously seen river flood causing destructive circumstances to our home but we have anchored and fought past that memory. We wouldn't want to raise our family anywhere else.

The river is a timepiece for my photography. During the different seasons, I contemplate reflections, my children and my dogs at play and the water levels. There is rarely a day when I don't visit the river.

As a passionate photographer, I want my work to echo something meaningful to those who observe it. I believe that great photography, eyes an emotion to the viewer.

Living in regional New South Wales brings back many farming memories for me growing up. Lunches in the run down, unattended farmhouse, catching tadpoles in the spring and rounding up the sheep with dad... (the poor old kelpie always an inconvenience for going the wrong way.)

My love for simple things still lives with me today. I'm observant of all features from my childhood and of all things Australian.

The fetching pink galah is one of my favourite of all birds. Even on a dull day, this pink bird shows off so much character.

Sounds of screech and colourful sunsets will grab my attention any day!

The focus outside our living room window, is a rocky hill. For years, climbing to the top to see the sunrise or sunset has been an excitement of mine. Catching a glimpse of low lying fog following the river like a snake, or spotting joyless faced kangaroos in the misty rain. There is always a different way to see things and different things to see. An attachment of closeness and familiarity, I hold to this hill.

My aspiration is that I am making similar memories for my children and that they too will carry an appreciation for our land like I forever will.
