I went to my dad's place with my sisters. After lots of laughing and reminiscing together, we decided to bring out the old dusty suitcase full of nan's photos. It had been tucked away in the darkness at the back of dad's shed.

The case was locked, code easily cracked - first attempt....with our 3 digit phone number of the past (how simple life was) "click, click"..... And wow!

The memories that we came across had us in awe, some even dated back to World War 1 period.

What struck me was the quality of the photos, of even back then. And in all of them I felt emotion, they were story telling and they showed special moments cherished of a life once had. Tick, tick, tick for what makes a quality photograph.

I saw photos of my beautiful mum in her years before us girls and photos of my grandmother that were familiar to me from what felt like not so long ago.

My, how time does fly.

When our road falls away, photos are all we have left to tell a life that once lived.

And as Autumn leaves drop, a click of a phone takes a memory.

A phone full of digital memories will be the way of the future.

There is something special about the rounded edges and faded grey that I will treasure from my families life.

I'm so grateful for the past.

Time after time. x

These three are my fav pics. My mum and dad. My nan and Great Pop in World War 1.
