The rough is the diamond!

The green house of Nangus! I have photographed there for many years. Although rough and abandoned, it's still holds so much beauty. Isn't it funny how some things just stand out to you in a personal way? Maybe it's because it reminds me of the farmhouse at Naradhan where I spent a lot of my childhood, camping out and playing cards after a day of droving the sheep. Anyway, my thoughts always wander to the souls who once inhabited houses like this one.
I wonder what memories these walls hold.

Sometimes when I drive past this little green house, I see a row of daffodils. They still shoot back up, year after year. The farmer who owns it now, allowed me to photograph it in all its prettiness. For that, I am thankful for.
Quite often, in these small communities you see things that don't necessarily have much value, however, I believe they can give us the most satisfaction.
The Nangus General Store is an all time favourite place (will be a special memory) for my kids. It has the self-serve lolly counter. You get the tongs and select from a variety of sweet treats.. fill the bag and weigh at the counter. I must add too, priced just like the good old days!
Nangus is a little village "on the road to Gundagai." You will see the little green house before you pass over the Nangus Creek at the west entrance.
Three quotes I love;
-There can always be a diamond found in the rough.
-Those that have the least will always give the most.
-The best things in life are free.
